Another 365 days...

ok, barely 10 minutes and i'm posting again.
i can see how this is addictive.

i did a stupid crappy thing yesterday.

i. cut. my. hair.

damn it.

the last time i cut my hair was in December 2005. right after spm.
so that makes it..erm... a year and a half without cutting my hair. hoho, i'm so good at saving $$$! mummy should be proud.
luckily i didn't have any split ends, cause i have virgin hair.

anyway, yesterday i decided i should go get my hair cut. i didn't really know what kind of hairstyle i wanted, but the only thing on my mind was 'as long as it's not short like the last time'

see, the last time i went to hack off my locks, i decided to experiment a bit and had my nearly-waist-length hair chopped off to an off-shouldered bob.
Unfortunately, i looked hidious.
I remember the nightmarish months i had every morning when i was working at Chilis.
the rules required employees with tie-able(is that a word?!) hair to tie it, you see.
And the managers seemed to think that my hair was tie-able.
so every morning was spent in agony, trying to tie my hair up, using 10000 hair pins in the process.

i will always remember Saiful staring down at my head (it's not that hard, i'm quite short) ...

Saiful : Eh lixin, mengapa kepala awk bnyk pin?
Me : ....


returning to the topic in question, i was determined to emerge from the salon with a hair cut i'm satisfied with.

as i was sitting on the salon chair...

Hair dresser : So what kind of hair cut do you want? long? short?
Me : Long.
Mommy : Medium.(answering for me)
Me : No, not too short.
Mom : She's a student, must be shorter.
Hair dresser : Want to dye/highlight/perm?
Mom : No, she's a student.
Me : !!!

sheeesh..when said like that the lady must have assumed i'm a high school student right?
anyway thanks to my mommy,
and the fact that i'm pratically blind without my glasses,
i have shoulder length hair again.

thank you mommy!!!

we had a row later on, where she claimed that the above conversation was a figment of my imagination. okay.

haiya i don't care anymore la, my hair will regrow.

just have to wait for another year.

another 365 days.
